My Art Blog

You know, for a blog, I don't do a whole lot of blogging on here outside of video updates and that time I joined a MCN (then later had to leave along with like 90% or something of the members thanks a certain streamer). Heck, I apparently haven't use the "Blog Stuff" tag since 2013. Anyways, onto the point of this post, my art blog! A few years ago, I made an art blog on Tumblr in an attempt to motivate myself to actually practice drawing more.

Here's the latest thing I've posted to that blog at the time of writing this post. It didn't really take me long to go from trying to use an drawing tablet to attempting to make pixel art in MS Paint. Clearly I also need to work on my signature as well.

But yeah, I felt it was probably about time I finally brought up this blog/side project/whatever you'd call this. Plus it's also a thing I can point at and say I haven't been doing nothing during the time I wasn't making videos. Which is another thing I really need to work on more regularly. Not sure how to end this post (does anyone even reads this blog anyways?) so here's an animated thing from the art blog.

One Channel Rant

While I'm making these posts, I might as well talk about the "upgraded" channel. After a while of not wanting to use One Channel I've now got it and making that banner wasn't too easy as it required me to make it 2560 x 1440 which is ridiculously huge. Also the size limit is 2MB so you can imagine how annoying it is to stay in that limit and keep it looking nice. What annoyed me even more was how YouTube compressed it and now it looks worse (plus the transparent background on my avatar not working isn't helping). To see what I mean, look at this comparison.

Another thing that rustles my Jimmies is how I can feature up to 4 social links and 1 other link. This may not be much on an issue at the moment on this channel, but on TMCFace I've got the issue of either featuring only one of the channels or the blog (which could go in social links). As you can tell, I've had to go with the blog as only featuring one of the channels would be rather unfair, but now you only see these links by going to the about tab, a tab I doubt most people think to look at.


Last but not least is the channel trailer feature. Why the hell would I need a trailer for my channel? Is this this going to show up before a film or something? If you're on my channel, chances are you've already seen one or more of my videos and you already know if you want to subscribe. If you haven't, then you'd just go and watch a video anyway. Also, what kind of trailer does one make for a Let's Play channel anyway? Clips of what I'm currently play won't work as I'd have to update it regularly and if I were to choose clips from games I've played, what ones do I pick without the video going on too long?

So ultimately I don't like this new layout and I kind of wish YouTube didn't feel the need to fix stuff that isn't broken.

Apparently I'm mostly like Twilight with a lot of Applejack. Not sure what to make of the Applejack but me having stuff in common with Twilight makes sense I guess. Also yes, I did pick Scootaloo as my pet. Test here.

New Blog!

Without any delay here it is:

It's the new Blog for the Minecraft channel I announced a while back! This will be where Creepman and I will post about Minecraft related stuff, hopefully stuff by us anyway. Click here or on the picture to go there now.

Also this blog isn't going anywhere since I'm still going to do Let's Plays and hopefully my cartoon Team Hero if I ever get help with the bits I can't do like animation, background music and voices I can't pull off (you know, stuff out of my vocal range, needs a accent I can't do or is a girl).

New YouTube Channel

New Background!

As you can tell I've changed the background to a black and white montage of screenshots from my videos (with 2 new ones made for the background). So please tell me what you think in the comments.

No New Video

Since I've been sick all week (and lacking my voice too) there won't be a new video this week (unless if my voice fully recovers in the next two days) so instead have this.

Place Town

Since this is a blog I might as well blog about something other than updates on my videos... so here's something about that place from my second Minecraft video. Before I start I have to say that this texture pack is Shadoku's RPG by Shadounnet.

Edit: Can you believe that not too long after I post this version 1.3 comes out. Good timing too since now I can't use Shadoku's RPG until it gets updated.
